UC Open Up & Stay Awhile
For a family who loves to have friends over, their Kitchen was a challenging element of their home. By reconfiguring the layout we were able to connect the spaces for an open floor plan, adding better storage solutions and more space for gathering.
The large island with wrap-around seating is a perfect perch for visitors and morning coffee alike. While the built-in dining banquette allows for larger gatherings reduces the footprint for great flow between indoor/ outdoor spaces and includes extra storage areas. The materials selected were in a neutral color palette with patterned tiles, in bold applications.
We selected materials that embrace the beauty of natural materials like handmade clay tiles, exposed wood, and soft neutral tones to create a space that feels both warm & modern. With neutral materials, we were able to select a darker countertop for contrast that plays modern and updated.
