This client moved to a smaller home in need of modernization and to make it feel like their home. They are warm and inviting, with a natural and contemporary style. This home felt sterile, disjointed, and quirky — a redo was needed!
The first order was to modernize the layout with seating for the entire grown family within the Kitchen/ Living space by designing a variety of useful seating solutions.
The large conversational island suits the needs of entertaining as well as daily breakfast conversation, while the banquette is great for small dinner parties or an art project with the grand kiddos. The next step was the material selections to help warm the space, adding depth and interest for our client. The dusty wood tones, mix in textures, and architectural detailing, all added to the ease you feel in the new space.
