Rooted in Leucadia Phase I
Located in the coastal enclave of Leucadia, Encinitas, this project began with a simple goal:
create a home that works as beautifully as it looks.
When we first walked through the home, the main living spaces felt disconnected and dated. With a growing family of five (soon to be six), our clients wanted spaces that could handle the realities of everyday life while still feeling collected, elevated, and distinctly theirs.
Expanding the kitchen into the former morning room transformed the flow of the home and created room for what matters most: gathering. A generous island now anchors the space, while a custom beverage station complete with refrigeration, a prep sink, and an awning window makes entertaining effortless, whether it's weekday breakfasts or patio cocktails with friends.
Throughout the home, warm wood tones, organic textures, and clean architectural lines strike a balance between relaxed coastal living and refined design. Every decision was made with function in mind, from the hardworking laundry room to custom storage solutions designed to keep a busy household running smoothly without sacrificing style.
Rooted in Leucadia Phase II
As the family's needs evolved, so did the project.
The second phase introduced a complete transformation of the primary suite bathroom and a custom ADU podcast studio. The primary bath was reimagined as a daily retreat, layering natural materials, thoughtful storage, and a sense of quiet luxury to create a space that feels both restorative and highly functional.
Just steps away, the ADU became a dedicated creative studio designed for podcast production, content creation, and focused work. Equal parts professional and personal, the space blends acoustic performance with residential warmth, proving that productivity doesn't have to come at the expense of great design.
From the heart of the home to the spaces beyond it, this Leucadia renovation reflects a common thread found throughout our work: thoughtful design that evolves alongside the people who live in it.
